The study investigated the District Development Facility in the Techiman Municipality and its contribution to development. The study was descriptive using both primary and secondary data. Data was collected from 150 respondents using the questionnaire. Data was analysed using the SPSS. The main objective of the research therefore sought to analyse the concept and contributions of the DDF to the socio-economic development of the Techiman Municipality. The study found that the DDF has made significant contribution to development of the district. This includes improved financial management. It was established that health, development of agriculture and poverty reduction initiatives are the main factors that define the scope of investment of the district development facility in TMA. The study found that the DDF has helped in addressing the funding gap from the central government.. The stakeholders on the other hand came out with findings which included weak institutional structure as a performance gap. Key recommendations included the need for adequate financial support for maintenance of investments and projects provided by the DDF. The study also recommended the need for there is for the assembly to strengthen its institutional structures to plug all sources of leakages of funds allocated for development in the district and finally, there was the need for effective education for both staff and stakeholders of the assembly about the DDF.
