Cyber security

Cyber security is a fast growing pace in the society today and as a result of that, its growth is becoming more and more widespread. According to the 2015 (ISC) Global Information Security Workforce Study, a shortfall of 1.8 million cybersecurity jobs will happen by 2022 cite mat 1. Allegedly, the most common reason for this fact is the lack of qualified personnel.

As a consequence of this trend even in education sector, Information Technology (IT), Cyber space, Online platform, medical field e.t.c. the needs for cyber security expert/professional must be consider as utmost important in the society or perhaps even in our everyday lives. One key aspect is how to determine which knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs) are needed to become a cybersecurity professional. This specialty is not monolithic – indeed, a huge amount of

profiles can be devised. For example, it is not the same to be the network manager in charge of defending a network than being the responsible to determine where is the origin of an attack. In order to address these needs, in 2013 NIST proposed NICE (National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education) framework to systematically structure this field of knowledge cite mat 1. In short, NICEproposes a set of work roles, associated with a set of specialty areas. On the other hand, a list of

KSAs is also proposed.
