Abstract
Pulmonary tuberculosis (PTB) is a common worldwide infection and a medical and social problem causing high mortality and morbidity, especially in developing countries. An expert system for diagnosis of this disease was designed based on expert’s knowledge for providing decision support platform to assist fresh graduator (inexperienced) physicians, and other healthcare practitioners to arrive the final diagnosis of TB more quickly and efficiently especially in rural areas. Information about pulmonary tuberculosis and its symptoms and treatment from doctor who are specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of tuberculosis were collected. The system was built using C sharp language and artificial intelligence based expert system in coordinated manner help in the diagnosis of tuberculosis disease and assistance in giving the necessary treatment In addition to giving advice to patients.
