A paper on Electronic Source Code Plagiarism Checker/Detection

This paper covers a few algorithms used in an attempt to detect plagiarism among students’ computer program source codes electronically, that is, using a computer software program. One algorithm proved to meet most of the requirements with acceptable results and was implemented using VB .Net programming language.

INTRODUCTION
Plagiarism means taking all or part of someone else’s work and taking credit for it, as though it were yours, and people do this for many different reasons. One the other hand, source code plagiarism means taking all or part of someone else’s computer program source code and taking all the credit. But even as often as this occurs in society, such as in businesses or even  academia, it remains unethical and illegal. This project hence was to try to find a way to reduce the level of plagiarism among students in schools by facilitating the detection processes electronically by software
