Toxicity of Tithonia Diversifolia leaf Extracts on Callosobruchus maculatus Infesting Cowpea seed, Vigna unguiculata in the Store

Callosobruchus maculatus (Fabricius), also known as cowpea beetle, cowpea weevil or bruchid, is the most important pest of cowpea. Severe C. maculatus infestations can affect 100% of the stored peas and cause up to 60% loss within a few months. Recent reports indicate that extracts of locally available plants can be effective as crop protectants against pre-harvest and post-harvest pests.
