Policies for Preservation and Security of Information

 Policy has been defined as a course of action adopted or proposed by an organization or any individual to guide certain operations (Akinfolarin, 1992). While security has been defined as a state of being free from threat, danger or destruction, Furthermore, preservation is defined as the act of keeping something or preventing it from being damaged (Akussah, 2006). Vividly we could say that policy for preserving, security of information resources could be defined as; a course of action practicalized to guide and prevent information resources from being damaged, stolen or destroyed (Akussah and Winifred, 2010).
