Due to the sudden transition from junior high school to senior high school as well as the transition from the conventional way of learning to distance learning, it is imperative to understand the determinants of SHS students' academic achievement. Many researchers find that study habits play a vital role as another aspect connected with academic performance. The research aim of this study focuses on the impact of study habits to academic performance as well as how students of Grade 11 STEM-7 of Arellano University Juan Sumulong Campus S.Y. 2020-2021 develop study habits in a distant online learning environment. The data collected from the survey and one-on-one interview of the twelve (12) respondents are coded and analyzed in a qualitative approach to gain results. The findings reveal a positive relation between students' study habits and their academic performance. Due to the individuality and diversity of each respondent, study habits such as using social media during exam week and listening to music while studying have varying effects on students. All students should also ascertain which study habits work for them and refine these study habits to gain higher grades. A variety of factors have influenced students' study habits as a result of this research.
