The Effects Of Improper Hygiene On Children's Learning In Nursery Schools: A Case Study Of Rubaga Division Kampala District

Abstract

A nation, most important and precious is its children who constitute its hope for continue achievement and productivity. There is no more crucial period of life that the age up to six years it's during this period than the child is most complaint and it is then that many barriers to normal development are erected. Today we are passing through a stage where the mental health of youngster in Uganda is a matter of much concern for the sociologists, Educationist and Psychologists. Early prevention and intervention is better than later remediation. Research has shown that the emergence of early on set conduct problems in young children is related to a variety of health and behavioral problems, such as peer rejection, drug abuse, depression, juvenile delinquency and school drug out in late years (Usher and Kirkville 2002). Early childhood is the critical period in behavior formation. In this age of momentow change and stiffer competition, most parents rely on preschool of different categories for childcare. Pre-school children are those children in the age group of 0 - 6 years who have not been enrolled in the primary school. For the present study children of age 4 - 6 years will be selected.
