THE IMPACT OF TIME MANAGEMENT IN EMPLOYEE PRODUCTIVITY IN ORGANIZATION (CASE STUDY OF UBEC

INTRODUCTION
Organization comprises of individuals performing various activities which enable them to achieve objectives for which they are established.

Cole (2002) says that these various tasks varies in  time span that is  the time required to perform a specific task in organization varies from job to job hence the need for effective management of time by the  organization is discharged of various organizational responsibilities. 

 It is against this backdrop that Tailor (1977) developed “the time and motion study” time and motion study which reveals exactly how long it takes to perform a task and the best way to perform it.

This enables organization to know how much output they can expect in a given time in support to this principles. Taylor (1977) demonstrates the benefit of increase employees productivity and earnings which he had obtained at the Bethlehem steel works. 
                          
He described to his critics an experiment with two shoulders “first class shoulders” in his word whose  effort were timed and studies  each man had his own personal shovel which he used regardless of the type of coal being shifted.

At first the average shovel load was about 38 pounds and with this loan each man handled about 25 tons of materials a day. Daily tonnage up to 30 eventually it was found out that with smaller shovels averaging about 21 pounds per load the daily output rose even higher. 

LITERATURE REVIEW
There are various definitions of time management just as we have various author. All the same, the underlying consent is basically the same as others see time management as having to do with planning, organized, directing and controlling of time for productivity. 
        
Drake (1971) sees time management in terms of when work is divided into specialized limits in place lump according to specification and on schedule. 
        
Time, he concluded has not only been used to ensure productivity but also to improve it.
        
Dunham (1995) says time management as a essential skill at all level of experience responsibility. 
        
It is an individual team and white school requirement for effective work performance this could result to clearer thinking better forward planning and better quality work. 
        
Furthermore Adesina (1975) says that when executive plan direct and concludes up personal and organization satisfaction it can be said that time has been made use of to improve output. This implies that it gives room for effective and efficient work. 

SUMMARY FINDINGS
The researcher discovered that time management contributes greatly in enhancing employee’s productivity. This is saying that Kaduna state Universal Basic Education Board are very productive due to fact that they consider time as one of their most valued assets.

It was also discovered that the departments of the organization were time conscious and coordinated. This solved some of the problem of inefficiency. 

It was discovered that time management discourages workers from acquiring new skills. Too much dependency on time discourage them from acquiring new skills that will bursting their morale which in turn brings about less productivity.
