This study examined employees' health care status and provision of health care services under the National Health Insurance Scheme (NILIS) at the Universiry of Ibadan, Nigeria. Data were collected from 383 randomly selected respondents through survey method Ei&teen in-depth interviews DIs) were conducted among nine maIe and female respondents each to reflect greater balance. The data generated through the questionnaire were analyzed at the univariate and bivariate. levels. The qualitative data were analyzed using content analysis. The findings revealed high Ievel of awareness of the scheme mng the employee, while employees 'perceived their health status as good following the usage of the health care dces under the Scheme. The findings revealed the influence of NHlS on the perception of employees' health status at the University of Ibadan.
