Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response (ASMR) is a phenomenon that is yet to gain
consensual credibility in the field of science and research. It is, rather a
subjective experience and/or sensation to those who are vulnerable to it. It is
claimed to be a kind of subtle bliss which is triggered by sonic, visual or
digital media stimuli, or by inducing it by intentional conditioning. This
paper expounds on the theory: its origin, facts, significance, and ultimately
if it has any benefits to human science and world. We can start by asking
salient questions like what is Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response (ASMR)? Can
it be explained empirically? Is it worth being accepted universally as a
scientific truth?
What are the benefits of ASMR to the human health, or generally, to life?
