Child Upbringing And How It Influences The Social, Physical And Economic Development Of Children A Case Study Of Kiptaiwa And Ussen Villages

Abstract

This investigation is aimed at establishing the effects of economic status,

socialization of young children, the influence of education attainment, and their

impacts on physical development of children’s upbringing by young parents. A case

of Kiptaiwa and Ossen village Kenya. The research techniques used and limitations

involved in data collection is focused in chapters 2(two), 3(three) and 4(four).

The findings revealed that poor socialization of young children by parents yields bad

behaviour for example use of vulgar language, rudeness, theft and irresponsibility by

children among others. Most of those interviewed by the researcher more so the

teacher and the young parents strongly felt that the link between the parents, the

teachers and the environmental at large effects the upbringing of child it takes over

80% of the total child’s growth and development.

To conclude the researcher strongly asserts that the young parents and the entire

environment of the child should adequately socialize, educate and role model the

children so as to avert the negativity or the development of poor behaviours. The

young parents should pay more attention to their child to divert their minds not to

engage into bad business and instead practice morality.

Main findings

1. The H/teachers, teachers, pupils, parents and church leaders interviewed

answered all questions promptly and expressed their feelings and opinions

with little problems.

2. Among the teacher interviewed, face a lot of challenges in trying to mold the

children, seminars and workshops are required for the young parents to

create awareness on child upbringing.

3. The parents felt concern and appreciated and also optimistic that more

research could be carried in future since they learned roles they had ignored.

4. The children felt that upon the completion of the research there could be a course of action that could benefit them especially provision of food.
