INTRODUCTION

This is the good Bio-Technology project on "development of biochemistry liquid stable reagents used for the estimation of Sodium and Potassium electrolytes in blood serum", which covers study based on Sodium and Potassium reagents. Chemical pathology (more commonly known as clinical biochemistry or clinical chemistry) is the area of pathology that is generally concerned with analysis of body fluids and extracts and will be used in this report

This research study is based on Sodium and Potassium reagents. Sodium is a metallic element having symbol Na. It is essential for all human and animals as well as some species of plants. Sodium was first commercially produced in 1855 by Deville process. Process is written below:-

Na2co3 (I) +2c (S) ----> 2Na (g) +3CO (g)Sodium is a very important element of human body that regulates blood volume and blood pressure, maintains the right balance of fluids in the body, transmit nerve impulses and influence the contraction and relaxation of muscles. Too low sodium level is dangerous, it can cause seizures and coma and too high sodium level is also dangerous, it can cause seizures and death.
