Effectiveness of using 360 Degree Performance Appraisal System in Engineering Sector

360 degree performance appraisal, in today’s date is of utmost importance to the organizations as it is a world of competition. 360 degree performance appraisal or multisource feedback is an appraisal or performance assessment tool that incorporates feedback from all who observe and are affected by the performance of a candidate. This research paper studies on the effectiveness of using 360 degree performance appraisal in Beximco Engineering Limited The primary objective of the research study is to determine whether the 360-degree performance evaluation system the organization uses is effective or whether there is a need to explore other employee evaluation and feedback systems across the organization to identify the best practice. The results concluded that there is no need to explore other performance appraisal systems; however, as recommended, the identified deficiencies in the current evaluation process need to be addressed. This research paper consists of five chapters. In chapter one, I have introduced the concept of 360 degree performance appraisal system, its objectives and limitations, overview of Beximco Engineering Limited etc. Chapter two is the literature review where I have included the summary of past researches on this topic. In chapter three, I have described the methods I have used while conducting the study. In chapter four, I have presented the findings and analyses of the study and mentioned the problems of using 360 degree performance appraisal in Beximco Engineering Limited. In chapter five, I have concluded my study by recommending some solutions to minimize the problems.
