Effects Of Administration On Performance In Private Schools A Case Study Of Arua Municipality

ABSTRACT

This work contains an evaluation on the effects of administration on academic

performance in private secondary schools.

Private schools started as an initiative to provide quality education and help

government to deliver education services to the community.

Much as this initiative was meant to support government effort to educate the

citizens, the performance has so far not been satisfactory. The study is reported in

subsequent chapters. This was guided by three independent variable namely;

democratic leadership management on academic performance, motivation on

academic performance and discipline and welfare on academic performance.

The study was set out to answer three research questions formulated by the

researcher;

How does democratic leadership management affect academic performance in

private secondary schools in Arua district?

To want extend does motivation of teachers affect academic performance of

private schools in Arua district?

W.hat are the effects of discipline and welfare of staff on academic performance of

private schools in Arua district?

In answering these questions the researcher used 338 respondents drawn from

Arua municipality. The research used two separate self-administered

questionnaires and an interview guide to obtain the pertinent data.

Since this had been a descriptive study, the research analyzed data and quantified

them in percentages which made comparison quite realistic and easy to understand.
