Evaluation of the Implementation of School of Health Technology Education Programme in Bayelsa State.

ABSTRACT
The study critically evaluated the implementation of school of health technology educational programme in Bayelsa State from inception till the present day. The study covered all the seven functional department of the institution. Sample size of one thousand four hundred and seventy three (1473) academic staff, non-academic staff and students of the institution were used for the study. The instrument used for collection of data was a Questionnaire titled School of Health Technology Evaluation Questionnaire (SHTEQ). An average of 32 items, three research questions and two hypotheses were formulated to guide this research work. The Evaluation research design adopted for this study was utilitarian evaluation research design using Provus summative evaluation model. A reliability coefficient of 0.867 was reached using the Cronbanch alpha reliability coefficient. Again, the one-way Analysis of variance (ANOVA) and independent sample t-test was used to test all the research hypotheses while the percentage, mean and standard deviation were used to answer the research questions. A lot of recommendations were made based on the findings of this research work which when adhered strictly will improve and maintain the status quo of Bayelsa State School of Health Technology, Ogbia.
