EXAMINING THE INFLUENCE OF INTERACTIVE METHOD OF TEACHING ON THE PERFORMANCE OF INTEGRATED SCIENCE TEACHERS AT THE EVANGELICAL PRESBYTERIAN BASIC SCHOOL AT SOGAKOFE

This study is aimed at examining the influence of Interactivemethodofteachingonthe performance of Science teachers at the Evangelical Presbyterian Basic School, Sogakofe. Fifty pupils were purposively sampled for the study. The nature of the study was conventional research. Nine Integrated Science teachers were selected for the research. Questionnaires were administered to respondents and data was collected. Descriptive statistics were used to analyze the data in terms of frequencies and charts. The findings of this research indicated that interactive methods of teaching positively influence the performance of teachers and also improves the performance of pupils in Integrated Science. Observation of pupils revealed that they were highly excited when lessons are made very interactive. It is recommended that teachers make their lessons more interactive rather than the usual lecture methods employed in teaching to help learners get the real concepts taught and also enhance quality teaching and learning outcomes
