ABSTRACT The quantitative study on HIV client’s perception of Voluntary Counseling and Testing (VCT) services was conducted in Muyumbu Health Center in Rwamagana District, Eastern Province, Rwanda. The research purpose was to identify the correlation between HIV client’s perception and VcT services. The objectives were to determine the profile of the respondents as age, gender , marital status, education level , and occupation; to determine the level of HIV client’s perception, to determine the level of VCT services and the last was to establish if there was a significant relationship between the level of HIV client’s perception and VCT services. This study used a cross-section survey and a correlation design. The target population involved an average of 200 clients who attended VCI within a specific week with a sample size of 130. Random sampling was used in purpose of giving each member chance of being selected. Another part of respondents were four counselors. To meet the objectives, the data was collected using questionnaires. The data was presented, analyzed and interpreted using Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS)~ In general V~T provided good services rated a mean of 2~64 which affect HIV client to perceive services given at high level with a rate mean of 2.74. This justified a significant correlation between HIV client’s perception and VCr services.
