The purpose of this study is to explore the low uptake of constituency development fund among small and medium enterprise(SMEs) in Kafue, Zambia. The data for this study will be obtained from face to face interviews with 50 respondents using semi- structured questionnaire in Kafue Constituency and focus group discussion. The method in this study sought to explore the low uptake of constituency development affecting the performance of SMEs and the study adopted a qualitative and employed a purposive sampling. Primary data which will collect from 50 study respondents using semi structured questionnaires, literature review and focus group discussion. The data will be analysed in a thematic approach and there will be document analysis and validating the data. The conclusion: The study suggests that policy makers will consider the findings in formulating policy which may create an environment that is feasible for the development of SMEs through constituency development Fund in Kafue Constituency
