There is need to improve more on the management of demobilization packages in Musanze district, by improving on the following aspects; person screening for those to receive demobi lisation packages; proper community sensitization before giving demobilisation aid; proper planning of the packages before they are given, ensure that the demobilisation packages are used for the planned purposes through follow up programs, increase transparency and accountability in giving demobilisation packages and ensure that demobilisation packages are given in different forms (e.g. cash, medical treatment housing and payment of school fees). There is a need to improve the socio-economic reintegration of demobilized soldiers taking them through community cleansing rituals, ensure each joins at least one community association, take them for formal education course, help them establish their own businesses by giving them some business capital, RDRC should recommend them for jobs, assist them to get good houses, train them acquire skills in electronics repairs, driving and mechanics, tailoring, welding, masonry, etc.
