Reward Systems And Employee Motivation: A Case Study Of Linilever Uganda Limited

ABSTRACT

The study was bout reward system and employee motivation and was guided by equity

theory of motivation that was put forward by Adam stancy in 1963. The study aimed at

investigating the influence those non financial rewards has on employee's motivation, the

various kinds of financial rewards and how they induce employees' motivation and the

reward techniques that can promote employees motivation in Unilever Uganda Limited.

Descriptive and case study designs were employed to guide whole research and

questionnaires plus company memorandums aided data gathering process from ninety six

samples that were selected as representatives from the entire population. However

findings revealed that financial and non financial benefits once integrated in the

company's total reward system, employee motivation will automatically prevail.
