ABSTRACT The study was concerned with social factors on pupils’ academic achievement in primary schools in Voi District kenya. The study was guided by 4 objectives; Determining the profile of the respondents, the level of social factors, the level of academic achievement, and the relationship between level of academic achievement and level of social factors. The study applied a co relational survey design using quantitative approach to derive meaning from quantitative data generated. The main research instrument used to obtain data during the study was Likert scale questionnaire researcher made to suit the objectives of the study. Data collection was guided by the research questions and objectives. A total of 216 respondents were used. Results from the study and analysis showed that there was a significant relationship between social factors and academic achievement of pupils in primary schools. Revelations from the study further indicated that there is low level of academic achievement in voi district primary schools. The study further recommended that the Parents should be involved in enhancing discipline in their schools. The school administration should use guidance and counseling effectively to curb cases of indiscipline, drug abuse and early pregnancies and finally, The government should provide social amenities such as public library in Voi District to keep the learners busy so as they may use their leisure time wisely.
