This study examines the strategies for improving the teaching of Building Technology craft in Government Technical Colleges in Kaduna State, specifically focusing on Government Technical College Malali. It addresses the historical context of vocational education in Nigeria, highlighting its slow development compared to other forms of education due to early colonial policies. The research identifies key issues affecting the teaching of Building Technology, such as inadequate teaching materials, outdated machinery, and insufficient government funding. It also evaluates the effectiveness of various teaching methods and proposes strategies to enhance the educational experience, including increased investment in technical education, improved teacher motivation, and the incorporation of ICT in practical projects. Data was collected through questionnaires administered to teachers and analysed using mean scores to determine the level of agreement among respondents. The findings suggest that a comprehensive approach involving better funding, modernized equipment, and continuous teacher training is essential for the advancement of technical education in the region.
