ABSTRACT

This study was conducted in order to determine the effect of manpower training development in service organization with a case studying of Power Holding Company of Nigeria (P.H.C.N), Kaduna. The objective of the study is to highlight the disadvantage of human resource training and development in service organization and recommendation on appropriate measures that could help to improve the current human resources training programme. Data were collect for this research work for both the primary source and secondary source of data. The statistical instrument used in testing the validity of the hypothesis was chi-square. Among the major finding of the work was that training and development programme improve productivity and better performance. The research therefore recommended that there should be free flow of information to enable all the staff to be aware of the training and development programme available to them both internally and externally.
