The construction sector is one of the largest and most important sectors of industry. This study aims to display insurance institutions policies with respect to work – related injuries and accidents insurance. A descriptive study was done by collecting information from stakeholders represented in the insurance companies and social insurance. And the National Reinsurance Corporation, which combine to have all the information and budgets own insurance companies was also visited. The study concluded that insurer’s policies are different, but agree in terms of referencing to the laws enacted by the state (the Compensation Law and the Social Insurance Law) regarding the value of the compensation and the determination of the percentage of the deficit. The study concluded that 90% of insurers condition the existence of records for employees to insure and then compensate them, but only 73% of the insurance institutions worked to address this item for the daily paid labors and the workers who are not covered by the records by insuring defined number of workers periodically, and compensate only for this number at maximum. Finally, it was recommended that, greater efforts should be done by the Government and the voluntary and research agencies, and cooperation of all stakeholders to determine the actual cost of construction work-related injuries on vregular basis in Sudan, and the effects of different relevant interventions in reducing this cost. And the inclusion of labors who are unregistered in the employer's records - who constitute the majority and the most at risk labors- in the compensations law in order to preserve their rights.
