The relations between China and Kenya have been positive over the two thousands decade. China views the country as a gateway in to the East Africa region where Kenya plays a vital role in advancing the implementation of China Foreign Policy goals in the region. The study sought to investigate the effects of the implementation of China's Foreign Policy goals on the economic growth of the country more so on the manufacturing sector. Kenya has played a crucial role to China in helping the Asian giant to gain access into the East African region. The country has also offered a market for China's processed goods and services. The manufacturing sector has been affected by the cheap imports from China where a number of entities have closed down their manufacturing base opting to relocate the same to China due to their technological advancement and low production cost. China has also displaced markets that used to be the preserve of Kenya which have translated to the loss of market sale for the manufacturers. Intra-regional trade has been low and this has been attributed to countries seeking alternative sources for their needs. China has been a big beneficiary since most of the counties that used to trade with Kenya are now trading more with China. The manufacturing sector has also experienced positive effects due to the country’s relations with China where technology transfer has enabled the sector to acquire skills from China that has helped to boost its production. China is also in the process of assisting the country’s manufacturing senor by sharing its vast knowledge of industrialization with Kenya as it seeks to establish its special economic zone.
