The Implication Of Education Policies On The Acedemic Performane Of Learners With Hearing Impairment In Selected Schools In Kocholwo Zone Keiyo District Kenya

ABSTRACT

The researcher carried out the study to find out the implication of

Educational policies on the academic performance of leamers with

hearing impairment in selected schools in Kocholwo zone contained five

chapters. In the first chapter, the researcher spelled out the background

information about hearing impaired children who continue to perform

poorly in academic despite teacher induction and in service trainings in

the zone. The researcher stated the problems at hand, described the

purpose of the study and its objectives and finally the significance of the

study. The acronyms and abbreviations ended the chapter. Chapter two

was a reflection on the contributions made by other scholars to address

hearing impairment in the society. He investigated the implication of

education policies, challenges and intervention measures ended the

chapter. In chapter three the researcher explained how the study was

carried out step by step. It explains why particular methods and

techniques were applied, it contained the procedure, targeted population,

size of the sample and the method of selection. Finally the researcher

mentioned the limitations and delimitation of the study thus ended the chapter. Chapter four dealt with collection of the data tabulated them and analyzed them, finally chapter five contained summary of chapter one to four, discussion based on data collected with references to literature review and concluded the chapter with recommendations that favoured the performance increase in future.~
