The Influence Of Religion And Occupation On The Perception Of Family Planning In The Nigeria Educational System

ABSTRACT
The study investigated the influence of religions, gender and occupation on the perception of family planning in the Nigeria educational system. Two hundred and twenty (220) participants were sued. These participants were selected from Delta State University, Abraka, Delta State. They comprises of 63 males and 57 females. 56 are Christians while 64 are Muslim. Also 68 have high occupations and the low occupation participants are 52. The participant’s ages ranged from 18years-50years with a mean age of 29 years. The study is a survey and a 3 way ANOVA statistics (f-test) was sued for the data analysis using the statistical package for he project supervisor developed the instrument that was used. The instrument that was used is a questionnaire, the content validity of the instrument was ensured by the researcher through conducting a pilot study and the correlations co-efficient (64) ensured that the instrument was valid. The hypotheses were tested and the findings revealed that religions, gender occupation and education do significantly influence family planning. The findings were discussed in line with the empirical studies by most researchers cited in chapter two and appropriate suggestions and recommendation were made.
