One of the most burning issues in the world today is terrorism. Terrorism and its effects permeate through many facets of life; cultural, social, religious, economic, etc. Terrorism involves the use of violence by individuals, groups or state and their agents against a segment or whole of civilian population through the use of unconventional and conventional means in a bid to achieve a political, social, religious or any other advantage. This academic research attempted to find out whether the Nigerian Press reports terrorism stories and to what extent does it report terrorism stories amongst other things. The research showed that, the Nigerian Press reports terrorism stories. 60% of the editorial items on terrorism stories that were reported are news stories, while pictures and feature stories are 10% and 3% respectively. The research also, revealed the flaws of the Nigerian Press in the reportage of terrorism stories. In this light, the research recommends that, the Nigerian Press should increase the level in which stories are written from mere story reporting to in-depth analysis and discussion on terrorism while also proffering possible solutions to the problem.
