Inquiry-based learning is a student-centred approach that, focuses on moving students beyond general curiosity into the realms of critical thinking and understanding. The traditional teacher-centred approach is practised by teachers of kebbi state secondary schools. Students failed physics in their final examinations. This paper introduced the use of one of the IBL models to teach Ohm’s law to secondary school physics teachers in Kebbi state. Benefits of the approach, such as improving teachers critical thinking skills are exemplified. Suggestions such as Government and stakeholders are advised to embark on the training of physics teachers on the approach and ensure its implementation in their schools after receiving the training.
