ABSTRACT The study was carried out to investigate the relationship between women participation and peacemaking processes in Mogadishu- Somalia. The study was guided by the following research objectives; the first objective was to determine the profile of the respondents in terms of: age, gender, highest educational qualification, and rank in the organizations, position in the organizations and number of years in present position and the second and third objective was to determine the level of women participation and the level of progress in peacemaking process and the fourth objective was the relationship between women participation and progress in peacemaking process in selected organizations in Mogadishu, Somalia. The study was conducted through descriptive and correlation research design by using quantitative approach with three parts questionnaire and 100 respondents were from selected development organizations in Mogadishu Somalia. The study utilized descriptive statistics, frequencies and percentage; tables were used in the presentation of data. And also Pearson’s Product Moment Correlation Coefficient was applied to test correlation between women participation and peacemaking processes. The study found that women participation and peacemaking processes in Mogadishu, Somalia are significantly correlated. Regarding the level of women participation was very good and the level of progress in peacemaking processes was good with methods applied as indicated the means and standard deviations. The researcher recommended that the organizations should maintain loyalty and truthfulness whenever they deal with the subordinates or followers or made peacemaking. And also consultation should be used as the best possible progress in peacemaking processes as the result of the study.
