ABSTRACT
Acid rain is a mixture of sulfuric acid and nitric acids depending upon the relatively quantities of oxides of sulfur and Nitrogen emissions. Theses emissions are from the exhaust pipe or smokestacks of our vehicles and others like power stations, generators, appliances and so on. Acidification of water bodies causes large scale negative impact on aquatic organism including fishes; acidification has an indirect effect on humans. It has effect on the ecosystem and causes damages to man-made materials and structure. By reducing the emissions of acid rain in our environment, the problem of acidification of terrestrial and aquatic ecosystem will be reduced.
