CAUSES AND EFFECT OF EXAMINATION MALPRACTICE IN INSTITUTION OF HIGHER LEARNING IN NIGERIA (A CASE STUDY OF INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT AND TECHNOLOGY ENUGU)

ABSTRACT 

The sole aim of this research work is to find the causes and effects of examination malpractice in institute of higher learning in Nigeria. As a result of the impact of this malaise in institution of higher learning today. It is imperative that its implications and after effects be investigated. 
The researcher used institute of management and technology, (IMT) Enugu as a case study to appraise the following causes and effect of examination malpractice in our institute of higher learning.
i)Student absolute neglect of their studies. 
ii)The made rush for paper qualification to the detriment of acquisition of skills. 
iii)The daily escalation of cost of education clobbering students to indulge in malpractice 
iv)The contribution of poor facilities such as laboratories and libraries to the nascent problem of malpractice.
It is hoped that at the end of the research clues to the solution of the problems would have been found.
