The paper analysed some selected mathematics items that was used to assess senior high school students' academic performance in core mathematics. Analysis of each of the item with respect to difficulty, discrimination and distractor functioning were discussed.
The instrument was developed to measure students' test anxiety. The scoring and interpretation of the scores that will be gathered by the use of the instrument is also captured in the manual which is attached to the instrument.
The study sought to investigate the effectiveness of using base ten materials (abacus) to enhance primary four pupils' performance in the concept of place value.
