In constructivist learning, students are active learners and are strongly encouraged to participate optimally in every class activities. I believe that students have ability to learn by getting new insight into subject matters under discussion. My role as the course instructor is to provide support, motivate and direct students on how to acquire knowledge. In order for us to have a successful and engaging learning environment, I believe that we all need to be on the same page on what is expected of me as your instructor and what is expected of you as students.
IS EXPECTED OF ME AS YOUR INSTRUCTOR On my part, my aim is to ensure that you learn and succeed in this class, therefore, I have taken time to prepare and structure this course in order to facilitate optimum learning. I cherish honesty, integrity, fairness and mutual respect.
WHAT IS EXPECTED OF YOU AS THE STUDENT On your part as students, you should be looking at what is due for each week (check: weekly announcement and assignments) and plan your work load accordingly.
