Abstract/Overview Families from nine countries (N = 1,338) were interviewed annually seven times (Mage child = 7–15) to test specificity and commonality in parenting behaviors associated with child flourishing and moderation of associations by normativeness of parenting. Participants included 1,338 children (M = 8.59 years, SD = 0.68, range = 7–11 years; 50% girls), their mothers (N = 1,283, M = 37.04 years, SD = 6.51, range = 19–70 years), a...
Abstract Traditional financial forecasting methods often struggle to capture the complex interactions and emerging patterns that precede financial crises. By leveraging on TDA, this research aims to uncover potential topological features that might serve as early warning signals for impending financial crises. The study adopts the utilization of Topological Data Analysis, an initiative mathematical framework to explore and analyze the inherent topological structures within financial data set...
Abstract We find new classes of exact solutions for the Einstein-Maxwell field equations. The solutions are obtained by considering charged anisotropic matter with a linear equation of state consistent with quark stars. The field equations are integrated by specifying forms for the measure of anisotropy and one of the gravitational potentials which are physically reasonable. A general feature of our models is that isotropic pressures are regained when certain parameters vanish; this behaviou...
MODELING HUMAN DEVELOPMENT INDEX USING DISCRIMINANT ANALYSIS By Iwuagwu, Chukwuma E. Nwosu, Moses Obinna Department of Statistics Abia State Polytechnic, Aba Abstract The basic objective of human development is to create an enabling environment for people to live long, healthy and creative lives and it is composite statistic of the life expectancy, education income per capita indicators which are used to rank countries into tiers of human development. The paper determined the critical variab...
DEVELOPMENT OF STATISTICAL PROGRAM FOR DISCRIMINANT ANALYSIS FOR MIXED VARIABLES USING R-CODE, By Iwuagwu, Chukwuma E. Ibegbulem, Zebulon O. Nwosu, Obinna M. Ekwuribe, Celestine. Department of Statistics, Abia State Polytechnic, Aba, Abia State. Abstract Discriminant analysis is a statistical technique that tried to predict on the bases of one or more independent variables. Whether an individual or other objects can be placed into a particular category of a categorical dependent variables. T...
