Effect Of Change Of Aluminum Nanosize In Its Paramagnetic Permeability

Abstract A magnetic property of matter plays an important role in modern technology. This need intensive research to satisfy technology need for new magnetic properties of matter. This motivates to do this research on the effect of change of nano size of Aluminum on its permeability. Three different nano sizes were prepared. It was found that increase of Aluminum nano size increases its magnetic permeability.

Running Of Quark Mass And Flavor Mixing In Extra Dimension Model

Abstract In this research, the running of quarks masses and flavor mixing in five dimensional standard models has been studied. The evolution properties of quark mass and flavor mixing are performed for the one-loop renormalization group equations in the five dimensional standard model. It is found that the five dimension model has a significant effect on the running of the fermion masses, including both quark and lepton sectors. We quantitatively discussed these quantities for R −1 = 1 Te...

Effect Of High Temperature On Metals And Semiconductors

Abstract The electrical property of noble mineral ( platinum( 58 680 sample and semiconductor 586 821were studied , at temperatures up to 100C0, 373 Kelvin. It was found that the temperature increases mineral resistivity and decreases it is conductivity ,the resistance and conductivity f or the mineral we found to be equal to R = 106.3 Ω and σ = 0. 01176 respectively . The resistance and conductivity for semiconductor were also obtained . It was found that increasing temperature decreases ...

A Study Of The Concentration Of Chromium And Radioactivity Of Radioisotopes In The Ingessana Hills Region

Abstract This study focused on the exploration of chromium metal and its use in the industriesthat are selected for its utmost importance. In this study, glowing X-ray techniques were used to determine the concentration of chromium in the in the Ingessana Hills in the Blue Nile region. And also was the use of a gamma-ray spectroscopy to determine radioactivity of radionuclides found in the Ingessanahills. A total of 30 rock samples were taken from this area, which were analyzed by XRF. Each s...

Green Synthesis Of Silver Nanoparticles Using Cinnamon Extract

Abstract Nowadays, noble metals nanoparticles are considered as the promising metals due their fascinating physical properties. Among the noble metals, silver nanoparticles ( Ag-NPs) exhibit a sharp and distinct absorption band in the visible region of electromagnetic spectrum associated with localized surface Plasmon resonance. Moreover, Ag NP has high resistance to oxidation and antibacterial activity which make it desirable for a wide range of applications particularly in biomedical scienc...

Identifying The Radioactive Substances In Sample And Determining Their Activities

Abstract In this study scintillation counter is used for investigating and identifying the radioactive substances in the sample and determining their activities by means of gamma ray spectroscopy, sodium chloride as an example in order to determine its activity which reveals poor activity

Implications Of Radio Pulsar Crust Size On Its Braking Index

Abstract There are several obvious observable evolutionary evidence among all the population of known pulsars, but a consistent description of this evolutionary trend is generally lacking in the literature. In this study, we provide a consistent interpretation of this evolutionary effect, on the ground that the exchange of moment of inertia with time between superiud component and the solid crust component as the temperature of the neutron star drops is a signicant process of energy loss in ...

Long – Term Rotational Stability Of Some Isolated Radio Pulsars

ABSTRACT We re-examined the phenomenon of rotational instability in radio pulsars on decadal timescales using a sample of 315 radio pulsars whose spin-rates [rotation period (P) and spin-down rate ( P) ] have been measured on, at least two different epochs. The first stage of our analysis involves a direct comparison of the measured values of P and P at two epochs that are ~ 10 - 20 years apart in order to estimate the fluctuation in the parameters. The results show that the fluctuation in t...

A Study Of Uranium Enrichment Techniques

Abstract This research is a study of the techniques of uranium enrichment and physical separation of isotopes, which often resort to when it is difficult to separate them by the usual chemical methods, including many of the mixtures that have already been used, such as uranium enrichment by laser, more common centrifuges, diffraction, thermal spread, magnetic separation and plasma. The enrichment process is important to take advantage of the uranium element as a fuel for various nuclear reac...

Fabrication And Characterization Of Cobalt Pigmented Anodized Zinc For Photocatalytic Application

Population growth and urbanization have led to water scarcity and pollution which is a health hazard not only to human but also the ecosystem in general. This has necessitated coming up with ways of treating water before consumption. Photocatalysis has proved to be one of the most promising cheap techniques, which involve chemical utilization of solar energy. TiO2 widely used in photocatalysis absorbs a narrow range of the solar spectrum compared to ZnO. In this regard, this study aimed at pr...

Stratified Saturated Control of Bacteria Migration in Porous Media: An Experimental Investigation

ABSTRACT The importance of sand bed filters has gained more ground in on- site water treatment facilities. The performance of which depends on the design of the sand bed. A laboratory column experiment was designed to quantitatively determine the best kind of sand layered arrangement for maximal bacteria attenuation. Porosity was taken as media parameter to further examine the relationship between the layers that will yield a better performance. Porosity was determined using volumetric appro...

THE EFFECT OF LINE CONFIGURATION ON LIGHTNING-INDUCED VOLTAGES ON OVERHEAD CONDUCTING LINES

ABSTRACT Lightning-Induced Voltages (LIV) affect all electrical conductors and could damage electronic circuits and gadgets even without applied voltage. Several factors, including electrical power line configuration, can affect the magnitude of the lightning-induced voltages. Previous research paid less attention to the effect of line configuration on lightning-induced voltages on overhead power lines and other lines in the tropical environment. The effect of line configuration of electrica...

A Computation Of Laminar Now in Open Channels and its Application to Sheet Erosion

ABSTRACT The results of an investigation of open channel flow in the laminar and transition range are presented. This type of flow found its application in runoff from rainfall. Values of Reynolds number were determined for different slopes in the range 10≤ 0≤ 450. It was found that the velocity of the fluid increases ar the slope of the bottom surface increases. There was a point where the laminar flow range change drastically to transitional flow range and later turbulent.

Determination Of The Focal Length Of A Lens Generating Aberrations

ABSTRACT In most laser applications it is necessary to focus, modify or shape the laser beam by using lenses and other optical elements. The most important characteristic of a lens is its focal length. The focal length of a lens gives a measure of how strongly the lens either converges or diverges light. When the lens is imperfect, it generates aberrations. This imperfection could be due to disfigured or imperfectly figured optics and misalignments of the lens in an optical system. It’s im...

Determination Of Predator Ultrasound Parameters And Acoustic Startle Response In The African Female Anopheles Gambiae S.S.

ABSTRACT The female Anopheles gambiae, a malaria vector, detects ultrasound by its antenna, which can initiate an attractive or repulsive response. Modern electronic mosquito repellent devices exploit this concept in attempt to control malaria. However, they have shown only 20 % effectiveness in repellency. This work determines the transmission parameters of Amolops tormotus, Coleura afra sounds and their combination and hence their startling effects on female Anopheles gambiae. The sound of...
